Who we are
City Church International (CCI) is an independent, non-denominational church based in Hong Kong. CCI was planted in 2004 by Rob and Glenda Rufus when God called them to “establish a move of God’s spirit in Hong Kong to touch the nations of the world.”
We love to host God’s Presence, and we love ushering people into His Presence. We revel in the Father’s unconditional love for us and the world. We worship Jesus for His reconciling sacrifice to unite us with our Heavenly Father. And we extravagantly enjoy the Holy Spirit’s continuous and unwavering power and presence in our daily lives.
We love seeing people encountering God’s power, and we labor to establish a grace environment where people find they can effortlessly feel the Glory of God. In these atmospheres, it is easy to evangelize, minister, and serve. CCI is a place you’ll feel loved and accepted.
We are a bilingual church; all of our services are conducted in English and Cantonese.
Vision
When Rob first arrived in Hong Kong in 2004, God gave him the following vision and strategy for City Church International. The DNA of this house is built upon these words.
Establish a move of the Holy Spirit in Hong Kong that touches the nations of the world.
If you live not to fill buildings with people, but live to fill people with My Spirit, then I will live to fill buildings all over Hong Kong with people who are full of My Spirit.
Founders
Rob and Glenda Rufus are the spiritual father and mother of City Church International. They have been married since 1975, and have three children who serve the Lord (Jay, Ryan and Bonnie).
They planted their first church, Victory Faith Center, in their early twenties in Pinetown, South Africa. After twelve years they moved to Adelaide, Australia, where they co-led and then led Coastlands International Christian Center. After handing over that leadership in 2001 they travelled for three years, then came to Hong Kong and founded City Church International in July 2004.
Their travelling ministry continues at Rob Rufus Ministries.
