FAQ

Accommodation

Unfortunately this year we have no budget accommodation available but we have given you the website addresses of a number of accommodation options that range from discount to tourist class.

Billeting in private homes is tricky. Flats in Hong Kong are notoriously small and rents are high and a large percentage of our community share in order to keep costs down. As a result an extra bed is almost impossible.

Please be aware that you will need to book your own hotel accommodation for the duration of your stay in Hong Kong. As October falls into what is regarded as peak season bookings need to be made early. Check with your travel agent as some hotels have arrangements with airlines and you may get a package that includes accommodation.

We have secured a corporate rate at the Stanford Hillview Hotel in Observatory Road on Kunstford Terrace, Tsim Sha Tsui which is a short walk away from the Conference Venue. Please download the booking form and submit directly to the Stanford Hillview Hotel to secure this rate. There are a number of trade shows on in Hong Kong over that period of time and already there is pressure on rooms. We would urge you to do this as soon as possible. http://www.stanfordhillview.com/en/

For more info on accomodation please see our Practical Info page.

contacting us
. Please note refunds will not be available after the 30th September 2010.

Children’s Facilities

Unfortunately there are no facilities or programmes for children.

Are newborn babies allowed?

Yes, but there is not a designated area for nursing mothers.

My children will sit quietly in the corner and read during the meetings, can I bring them?

While we would love to be able to cater for everyone, space is very limited at the venue and therefore we ask that you make other arrangements for your children during the conference. If they are old enough and interested enough to participate and be part of the conference like the other attendees, they are welcome. However, all those attending the conference must register, excepting infants.

Day Visitors / Single Session Seats

We would love to see everyone able to attend the 4 days of the conference but quite understand that this may not be possible. Work, school and family constraints will impact your ability to be with us. We want you all to have a seat HOWEVER the venue does have a  limited capacity.

We are happy to announce that DAY REGISTRATIONS will be available for the conference. NO online registration is required for this and it will work on a first come, first served basis. There will be priority seating for those who have registered for the whole conference and we will take day registrations until the venue is full each day. If you plan to come on a daily basis, please do try and come at least half an hour prior to the start of the day to ensure there is time for you to register and find a seat. Please note payment must be in in the form of Hong Kong Dollar Cheque or cash.

Disabled Facilities

There are disabled facilities available in the Hall.

Food and Beverage

We will not be providing any food or refreshments during the conference. The Venue is surrounded by an array of coffee shops, restaurants, fast food outlets and convenience stores.

On-line live streaming

We are sill considering whether to offer live streaming. We'll post an update here as soon as we have all the details regarding this sorted out.

Payment Options

We are only accepting two forms of payment:

We will NOT be receiving CASH, TELEGRAPHIC TRANSFERS or DIRECT DEPOSITS via Internet as a form of payment for registrations.

1. Credit card payment on line using PAYPAL.  PayPal will allow you to make credit card payments without opening an account, you can use your VISA, MasterCard etc. This is a secure on-line payment site. Once you have made your payment on-line with PAYPAL we will send you a confirmation e-mail with your booking details, please keep a copy of this for your records. There are no extra charges for using PAYPAL

2. Enclose a local cheque (if you live in Hong Kong) or an international bank draft which is more commonly known as a cashier’s check, bank check, teller’s check, official’s check, or treasurer’s check. The named beneficiary is "CITY CHURCH INTERNATIONAL Ltd" and the amount rendered MUST BE IN HONG KONG DOLLARS ONLY. Your bank will be able to help you in this regard

If you choose to make payment by this means then please print a copy of your registration confirmation email and send this along with enclosed payment. Make sure you write your name and booking reference number on the back of the cheque. Please do not send us a cheque or money order without an accompanying form as we will not know who the payment is from!

Once we have received your booking form and payment we will send you an acknowledgement of your registration and a receipt for your payment.

What is a bank Draft?

When you have to make a payment and you do not have a credit card or cold cash with you, you might be asked to pay by a bank draft.A demand draft is a written order issued by your Bank to an overseas correspondents or named beneficiary to pay a stated amount in foreign currency. The Bank’s overseas agent will pay the beneficiary when the demand draft is deposited and cleared by the beneficiary’s bank.

More commonly known as the cashier’s check (bank check, teller’s check, official’s check, or treasurer’s check), the term bank draft is more popularly used in the United Kingdom than in the United States. The major difference between demand drafts and normal checks is that demand drafts do not require a signature in order to be cashed. Also known as "remotely created checks".

A bank draft is basically a check, the payment of which is guaranteed to be available by the issuing bank. They are normally treated as cash as banks will generally clear them right away.

Banks would usually review the requester’s account to check whether funds are available prior to clearing the check. With sufficient funds available, the bank will immediately set aside the funds to be given once the bank draft is used.

What Are the Characteristics of a Bank Draft?

Bank draft forms will normally highlight the issuing bank’s name in a prominent location. Security threads, watermarks, color-shifting ink, and a special paper are characteristics of a certified bank draft.

These features are designed to ensure that bank draft payments are not forged or tampered. The name of the payee, the amount to be tendered, information regarding the remitter, and other pertinent tracking information are likewise found in front of bank draft forms.

Online Registration Process

We hope you find the the registration process straightforward and simple. We have received some questions and hopefully the answers will help you.

  • The registration fee is not showing the discounts included.

When you choose to register a group the initial registration fees are calculated only by the amount of people in the  group. So at the top of the booking form where you fill in the registration details there will be a simple base amount shown (for example, if you're registering 4 people the amount shown will be $400 x 4 = $1600.)
The applicable discounts are calculated only at the end of the booking process so please disregard this amount. The last page before going on to payment shows a summary of all the registration information. The total amount due shown here will be correct.
You can still cancel or change your registration at this stage.

Please make sure you select the appropriate options to apply discounts. There is a discount available for couples and for students. If you are a couple select the "I am part of a couple" option for BOTH members of the couple.

You can register groups of people that contain couples and students in any combination in the same registration. Just make sure you apply the correct discounts to each person in the group.  Please don't select both the student and the couples rate for the same person.

  • The GROUP registration process is as follows:

  1. Click "Register Now"
  2. Choose "I am registering more than one person"
  3. Type in how many people are in your group.
  4. Fill in the details for each registrant plus once for the billing information.
  5. You'll see a summary page that lists the registration details for all the group members plus the billing contact and the correct amount payable.
  6. Clicking on "next step" on the summary page should show you a page where you can pick how you want to pay.
  7. Select Paypal and click "next step" (or "Pay Later" if you are mailing in a payment in which case your registration ends here with a thank you message and payment instructions)
  8. You should see a message that you are being redirected to Paypal.
  9. Log in to Paypal if you have an account or simply complete the payment by credit card if you don't.
  10. You (every person in the group and the billing contact) receive an email confirming your payment and your registration.
  11. We see you at G&G and it's awesome!
  • The single registration process is similar to above except there is only one set of details to fill in.

Products

We will have a book / product table where you can purchase a number of resources from Andrew Wommack Ministries International and New Nature products. Unfortunately we do not have a merchant credit card facility so ALL payments need to be made in CASH in HONG KONG DOLLARS.

Recordings of Talks and Worship Sessions

The Conference and worship sessions will be recorded and will be available to purchase at the conference and off our website after the event.
